Welcome to StoryShots AI. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
StoryShots AI provides AI-generated summaries and audio versions of popular nonfiction books. Our content is intended for educational purposes and personal development. StoryShots does not reproduce full books. We provide condensed summaries to help users learn key ideas efficiently.
Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as Lifetime access for a one-off payment. Prices are shown before you pay, in US dollars, and may change for new purchases. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page on the web, or from the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed there, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If a plan comes with a free trial, the trial length is shown before you start it, and you are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
Lifetime access means access to Premium for as long as StoryShots is offered, on the web and in our apps, with no further payments. It belongs to the account that bought it and cannot be transferred or sold. It is not a promise about how long StoryShots will exist.
If we decide to stop offering StoryShots, we will give you at least 90 days' notice by email. If you bought Lifetime access in the 12 months before that notice, we will refund the part of your payment that covers the time you did not get, counting your purchase as covering those 12 months. For example, a purchase made 3 months before the notice is refunded at three quarters. This does not apply if StoryShots stops because of insolvency or events outside our control.
If StoryShots or Parsida AB is sold or transferred to another company, your Lifetime access and any active subscription carry over to the new owner on these terms.
You need to be 13 or older to use StoryShots. If you live in the EU or EEA, the minimum age is 16, unless a parent or guardian agrees to you using the service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you think a child under the minimum age has an account without that consent, email support@getstoryshots.com and we will delete the account and its data.
You may create an account using Google sign-in or email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
You agree to use StoryShots AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
All content on StoryShots AI, including summaries, audio narrations, illustrations, and the underlying software, is the property of StoryShots or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Book titles, author names, and cover images remain the property of their respective owners.
When you create highlights or other user-generated content on our platform, you retain ownership of that content. However, you grant StoryShots a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the service.
StoryShots AI integrates with third-party services including Google Authentication, Goodreads (for book imports), and affiliate book retailers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. StoryShots is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
StoryShots AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that our summaries are complete, accurate, or a substitute for reading the original books. We encourage users to purchase and read the full books for a comprehensive understanding.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryShots and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the service or other users. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from your Account page on the web or from Settings in the app. You can also ask us to do it for you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
